The NM Engineering Hi-Flow Intake is a complete “Open-Air-Box” performance system designed specifically for the turbocharged N14 MINI Cooper S. Unlike many competing kits, the NM intake features an integrated, larger-diameter turbo inlet tube to maximize volume from the start. By ditching the restrictive factory-sealed box and flat filter, this system provides an unrestricted 360° air source. Extensive R&D logging confirmed that while ambient temperatures equalize above 20 mph, the open-box design consistently generates a significantly higher Mass Air Flow (MAF) volume (gr/sec) compared to the stock setup, making it the clear choice for maximum power and throttle response.
