Description
Our track splitter components have been developed over multiple months using CFD (computational fluid dynamics) testing to predict downforce, drag and stability. We consulted with YRC (Yeti Racecraft Inc.) to develop and refine the design; and performed all of the testing on a MK7 model to calculate the most accurate numbers we could.
Search around and you will find that most businesses provide data points from their airfoil or blade alone, because the part was designed to be universal. Our kit has been developed specifically for the MK7/7.5 platform. Tire spats can help reduce turbulence when running wide wheels and capture the air that is coming off the rear edge of your splitter blade.
Our spats attach to the outer edge of the bumper and require drilling two holes in the bumper edge on each side. Fender liners are not required to install these.
